This includes maintaining, supporting, deploying and optimising key functional areas. The Senior IT Support Engineer will also be responsible for resolving support requests in a timely and accurate fashion, as well as provide recommendations and guidance on future architectural and technology improvements that impacts business performance and costs.Senior IT Support Engineer Key Duties:+ Provide support to internal and external customers, technical issue resolution completed and recorded via the support ticketing system.+ Service and Performance Monitoring and Capacity Planning with tuning to remove impediments+ Participate in managing all data and network security solutions+ Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team+ Maintain close contact with internal and external customers to ensure their needs are met and an excellent working relationship is sustained+ Liaise directly with Clients, Management and all relevant departments on a regular basis on technology issues affecting their areas+ Ensure connectivity of all servers, web services, workstations, telephony equipment, printing and other network appliances.+ Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports+ Identify and take part in initiatives to improve the quality and effectiveness of the IT operational service+ Monitor daily to determine hardware or software specific productivity drains and report to line managerAbout You:Essential Skills:+ Driving License+ Minimum 5 years’ working experience in a IT related Senior Position+ In depth knowledge of Networking and Web Services+ In depth knowledge of Hardware and Storage Solutions+ Good knowledge of Helpdesk procedures+ Ability to diagnose and resolve Networking/Hardware/OS issues+ Good Technical Administration skills+ Experience managing and maintaining documentation+ Knowledge of back-up and security procedures+ Desktop support experience for Windows 10+ Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 and the associated core services such as AD+ VMware Virtualisation experience andor certification+ Cisco Switches experience andor certification+ Systems security; Firewall technologies, anti-virus policies etc..+ Available as part of a 24/7 rota as part of out of hours support.Desirable Skills:+ PaloAlto and Cisco ASA Firewalls experience andor certification+ Working knowledge of ITIL, PCI, GDPR+ Able to translate requirements into specifications and implement+ Linux (CentOS) experience andor certification+ Experience with Citrix ADC (Netscaler)+ Knowledge of Veeam backup software+ Knowledge of application deployment techniques+ Knowledge of web deployment techniques and frameworksYour Background / Previous Roles May Include:Infrastructure Support, IT Technical Support, Senior Helpdesk Support, Internal Service Desk Support, IT Systems SupportInterested Apply here for a fast-track path to the Hiring ManagerApplication notice...
