Health and Safety Manager - £30k - £32k + generous benefits - responsible for the supervision, management and co-ordination of work systems to ensure that the working conditions of the company are safe.Key Tasks & Accountabilities: Review and audit arrangements for Health & Safety Management whilst continuously improving these arrangements where appropriate.Create and provide strategies to plan and organise work systems to reduce Health & Safety risk including recommending suitable adaption’s to plan, machinery and processEnsure robust reporting regimes are in place for Health & Safety statistics / Provide management information and statistics related to your area of responsibilitySupporting business change through effective change management processes within our fast-paced operational environmentDrive a behavioural safety culture change programme across the operations function.Implement and review company safety policies ensuring that local legislative requirements are met.Engage with all operations teams to ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and activity.Conduct safety inspectionsYou will need the following skills - Able to effectively lead and manage a team that the role holder does not have direct line management responsibility for. Able to design and deliver training sessions both on a 1-1 basis and large groups. Be able to operate, communicate and influence at all levels within the organization Is results orientated and tenacious / Demonstrable record of driving significant change through an operationAbility to self-prioritise workload / Planning and organising skills / Accuracy & attention to detailYou will need - An in-depth understanding of essential/relevant UK Health and Safety legislationAt least 3 years’ experience in a Health and Safety Management Role with indirect management experience in a similar warehouse environment. Preferred: Lean, 5S and Kaizen experienceMicrosoft office suite to include day to day experience of excel sheets, excellent report writing skills and document management experience.Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent with significant H&S Management experience.Educated to Degree level, or equivalent / Chartered member of IOSH (CIOSH) or equivalentMust have a driving license.
