Job Description

Teaching Assistant | Mansfield, NG18 | £90 - £110 per day | Permanent Opportunity | January Start An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and positive Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school located in Mansfield (NG18) in January 2024. This is a highly rewarding role that involves providing tailored support to a year 11 pupil with AutismSpectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a full time, long-term position with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-1 support to a year 11 student outside of the classroom setting, helping the student to prepare for his GCSE exams
  • Implement and adapt learning to meet the students individual needs and learning capabilities
  • Collaborate with the SENCo and other professionals to provide progress updates
  • Support the student in a variety of subjects, ensuring engagement with learning and understanding in preparation for GCSE exams
  • Foster a positive relationship, contributing to the overall wellbeing of all students
Requirements:
  • A relevant qualification/degree is desirable
  • Previous experience of working with children/young people on an individual or group basis
  • An understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
