Job Description

Electrical Maintenance EngineerImmedidiate contract opportunity. Possible perm position available.Working Monday to Friday. AM , PM & Night shifts on rotating weeksWe are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an FMCG manufacturing business in Nottinghamshire. This is a great opportunity to join an Electrical Maintenance team within a large, global manufacturing organisation.This business has seen sales increase over the past 12 months and offers a qualified Electrical Engineer the opportunity to fully utilise their electrical skills within maintenance and projectsYour role as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer will include reactive and planned preventative maintenance on machinery and plant as well as carrying out continuous improvement projects.Hours of work:As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be working Monday to Friday on a 3-shift pattern consisting of:

  • Mornings - 6am to 2pm,
  • Afternoons - 2pm to 10pm
  • Nights - 10pm to 6am
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer who is flexible and open to working overtime (paid) to support the business needs.Daily Activities:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance to machinery and plant
  • Attend and rectify any breakdown issues which are based on electrical faults.
  • Promote and adopt Lean methodologies and practices within the business.
  • Support the business culture of safety First by maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Ensure that adherence of regulations around electrical applications is maintained.
  • Ensure all equipment (especially those which are PLC controlled) is maintained in an excellent state.
  • Fault finding, predominately on Allen-Bradley and Omron PLC controlled machinery.
  • Conduct fault finding using control systems, invertor drives and PLCs.
  • Active participation in all continuous improvement projects.
  • Support in the training of other engineers.
Experience Required:
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering OR time served Electrical Engineer apprenticeship.
  • 17th / 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • Experience of working within an FMCG production environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams and specifications.
