About the Commissioning Engineer role: As aCommissioning Engineer, you will be the essential link between the operations and projects team in this newly created role. Its yours to shape and mould as you collaborate with multiple stakeholders.Our sites protect the environment across Scotland, England and Wales, this role will take you out of the office to spend time on them, some of which have beautiful views and remarkable histories.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants use their qualifications, experience and expertise to make a difference to the environment and communities in mining areas.Key responsibilities of a Commissioning Engineer:
  • Making decisionsfor the Coal Authority when it comes to commissioning newly built or refurbished mine water treatment schemes
  • Deciding when the workis readyfor operation and sign them over from our projects team to our operations team
  • Building the end to end plans needed to test all the mechanical and electrical equipment, chemical dosing units and site assets.
What we arelooking for in a Commissioning Engineer:
  • Certificated training in relevant field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programmes
  • Educated to degree standard with demonstrable experience of working at this level
  • Experience indeveloping, delivering and monitoring the impact of innovative and effective internal colleague engagement plans across a range of media.
  • Experience inhaving produced formal organisational reports.
  • Experience inplanning and delivering events, in-person, virtual and hybrid.
  • Experience inhandling sensitive information in a pressured environment.
