Job Description

A brand new role has just become available for an experienced CNC Machinist, working for a hugely successful, family run engineering business in the heart of MansfieldThe company have been trading for decades, manufacturing precision parts to customers around the globe. As an integral part of their small machine shop, this role is ideal for someone with ambition and drive to make a difference daily.Benefits for the role include - Basic rate of up to £14 p/h dependent on skillsPlenty of overtime, paid at Time & ½ after 40hrsDays position with no rotating shifts involved22 days holiday plus bank holidaysWorkplace PensionWorking hours are 40hrs per week Monday FridayResponsibilities for the CNC Machinist include -- Working on either CNC milling or turning lathes within the cell area, including Mazak w/ Mazatrol controls- Calling up pre written programmes, editing and modifying ready for programme prove out - Full setup including tooling, material, speeds and feeds- Running a first off and inspecting using measuring equipment, before final pass off from QC dept- Working from customer drawings, CAD designs and job route cards- Producing medium to high volume components from high value materials including aluminium, stainless, plastics and much more - Running multiple machines within the cell area, as part of a large group of programmers & setters- Adhering to all health and safety procedures and general upkeep / maintenance of the equipment and work areas daily To be successful in this role, were looking for the following skills and experience - - Previous experience as a CNC Turner, CNC Miller, Setter / Operator, Mazak Machinist- Be able to edit and modify programmes using Mazatrol or Prototrak controls- Confident with high frequency setups for large batch runs - Understand and interpret 2D & 3D drawings- Flexibility towards overtime when requiredPlease note, if your application is suitable, one of our consultants will call you within 5 working days.
