Job Description

Assistant Finance Business Partner - Temp to perm Mansfield / Hybridc£27-33kWe are looking for an experience assistant finance business partner to provide management accounting and decision support services to management teams, incorporating financial planning and analysis, commercial support, performance monitoring and reporting.This is a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate. The organisation offers excellent benefits and working environment

  • Support the development and maintenance of financial models to support business planning and Spending Reviews.
  • Support the production of departmental annual Budgets and
  • Maintain and develop the management information reporting systems.
  • Support headcount forecasting, reporting, analysis and requests for incremental headcount.
  • Performance monitoring and reporting through the production of monthly Management Accounts, commentary and variance analysis, for multiple stakeholders
  • Support production, review and critique of business cases.
  • Support contract tender processes for goods and services.
  • Undertake financial appraisals.
  • Support the Authorities financial reporting and audit requirements as necessary, as well as ensuring compliance with HM Treasurys Managing Public Money, Financial Reporting Manual and Fees & Charges.
  • Support accounting for Provisions, being the Authoritys future liabilities arising as a result of past coal mining activity.
The ideal candidate for the role of finance business partner will have:
  • Part-Qualified in recognised Accountancy Qualification
  • 3 years practical management accounting experience in the public or private sector.
  • Experience in utilising financial systems.
  • Advanced Excel user, intermediate proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Attention to detail and good organisational / planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with key stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, results driven attitude and able to use own initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and achieve deadlines.
