**Software Engineer - Front End - Manchester (Remote Working Available) - Up To £47K**My client, a leading online retailer, currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Front End Engineer to join their established but rapidly expanding Engineering Practice based in Manchester (Remote working available).Over the last 12 months a new microclient frontend architecture using next.js has been developed to replace a hybrid of Rails, React and Backbone.To support this, a new shared component library using React and Storybook has been created. The new microclients are built on a Node.j.s platform running in Kubernetes powered by a CI/CD pipeline.The goal is now to create a scalable frontend architecture to rapidly create new brands and websitesPolygot thinking is a must as my client uses a variety of programming languages such as Ruby, C# and Python.Sills and Knowledge-Improves documentation that is incorrect / incomplete.-Write code with support, following guidance and training materials.-Understanding of the testing pyramid.-Understands the basics of debugging and the tools used for itSoftware Design & Architecture-Able to avoid duplication and interface-breaking changes-Understanding of architectural guidelines, design principles & best practices-An awareness of hosting and infrastructure-Understanding of design patterns and uses when appropriate-Ability to communicate a technical viewpoint and reasoning behind a decision to a non technical audience**Should the above be of potential interest, please apply immediately in order to receive a more detailed job specification**
