Job Description

Are you a qualified Music teacher looking for a new role from April 2024 in ManchesterTradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a talented music teacher to join a secondary academy in south Manchester from April 2024 to July 2024.This is a full-time temporary supply teacher role.The RoleTeacher of MusicTeaching understanding music, music composition and music performance with a focus on innovative practical lessons with strong behaviour management.Experience of teaching music technology and have a good understanding of teaching composition using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) would be beneficial.The ability to teach other subjects such as drama or performing arts to Key stage 3 would be beneficial.The academy are interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS practitioners and further education music specialists with experience of teaching music to students aged 11 to 16.Five days a week.The SchoolOversubscribed secondary academy opened since September 2017.Good Ofsted January 2023Part of an innovative multi academy trust with outstanding schools in South ManchesterExcellent facilities for teaching and learningVery easily accessible by public transport routes.To join us and be successful in this Music Teacher role, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent Further education qualifications such as PGCE14+ or Certificate of Education
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
  • Provide a CV with full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • Have the legal right to work full time in the UK.
