Job Description

Our client, a fully-integrated energy company with an international reach, are looking for an Operational Risk Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis.As Operational Risk Analyst you will support the business in managing and tracking risks, both commercial and operational across multiple products, providing an opportunity to gain exposure and experience within the energy sales sector.Role and Responsibilities:

  • Operation of key daily and weekly operational risk controls and monitoring processes.
  • Support the incident management programmes.
  • Respond to incidents timely, drafting details of incidents accurately following investigation and administration of the incident management system.
  • Support in producing operational risk content and materials for monthly and ad-hoc management reporting.
  • Support administration activities of theBusiness Continuity Programme.
  • Providing independent analysis on risk and control aspects of the incident to provide appropriate recommendations, capture all action details, track statuses and record resolutions.
  • Support implementation of key change projects for the Enterprise and Operational risk team.
  • Support in the development of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSAs).
Key Skills and Experience:
  • The successful candidate willhave experience of operational risk in energy, financial or retail sector.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills,ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders in a clear, concise and insightful manner.
  • Attentive and seeks to understand others views with the ability to communicate complex issues.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong MS Office skills, proficient MS Excel skills and Power BI experience would be advantageous.
  • Reliable and diligent.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team orientated environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment where priorities can change at sometimes short notice.
  • Role would also suit a graduate with 1-2 years relevant experience
