Job Description

Infrastructure Support Engineer£40KManchesterWould you like to become a part of a Global IT team who are looking for an ICT System Support Engineer to work in their Wythenshawe office.In this role you will be utilising the latest technology to assist you in providing 3rd line level of IT support to the organisation and their customers across 22 countries and 50 offices.As the successful applicant, you will be dedicated to providing an exceptional level of IT support to the wider business. To achieve this you will:

  • Be a cloud focused engineer - experience of implementing and administering MS Azure & the Microsoft 365 suite would be highly beneficial
  • Have strong communications skills - you will be regularly communicating with the stakeholders to ensure they are satisfied with the service you are providing.
  • Aim to solve every reported problem - your goal as the Infrastructure Support Engineer should be to prevent further deterioration or escalation of your assigned issue.
Experience & proven hands-on knowledge:
  • Virtual desktop solutions - Citrix XenApp v7.x, Windows 365 or Azure Desktop VDI
  • Active Directory (including the usage of PowerShell scripts and GPOs)
  • Office365-suite products
  • Citrix Director / Quick Assist & LogMeIn.
  • Desktop end-user equipment
  • SCCM
  • Network firewalls / security appliances (FortiGate) / routers, switches (Cisco, HP), wireless controllers / access points (Cisco/Ubiquiti)
  • PRTG (on-prem & Azure monitoring)
  • Enterprise server operating systems (OS) (Windows Server >2012R2, 2016, 2019)
  • Travel industry application knowledge is good to have, such as Amadeus Selling Platform or Travelports Smartpoint - training provided if necessary
