A client of Spring Technologies are currently recruiting for a Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis. Based in Great Manchester.An infrastructure engineer is responsible, as part of a small team, for ensuring appropriate cloud-first infrastructure can be delivered to solve business problems. You will be responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of security across all the Groups infrastructure and well as delivering on projects alongside the wider IT Team*Excellent working knowledge and understanding of Windows and Linux server environments, IIS, Active Directory, Microsoft365, Azure*Solid knowledge of networking concepts and technologies and their day-to-day management including DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN including TCP/IP, MPLS, VPN, VLANS etc.*Experience in working with cloud environments and cloud-based security including mitigation of risks within a cloud environment*Good understanding for virtualisation technologies including managing and maintaining vMWare-based solutions and managing Veeam backups*Good understanding of MS SQL and/or MySQL including basic database administration*Excellent confidence in using command line ie: PowerShell*Excellent time-management skills and proven analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving abilities for both software and hardware.
