Job Description

FINANCE ANALYST / MANCHESTER (M24) / UP TO £28K & GREAT BENEFITSAmazing new opportunity for an enthusiastic Finance Analyst to join a long-standing, family-owned organisation with an excellent reputation. They put their people at the heart of everything they do and are committed to creating a fantastic working environment.Their busy Finance Department continues to grow and as such, they have an exciting new opening for a Finance Analyst to join their dynamic team.You will play a key role in supporting Cost Centre Managers across the North West & North Wales, by compiling financial reports and providing cost analysis on monthly results.What’s in it for me

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Analyst:
  • Ownership and development of cost centre reporting, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities
  • Ownership and development of cost centre KPI dashboards
  • Liaise with budget holders to understand progress and challenge performance
  • Provision of daily, weekly and monthly reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Production of post-capital expenditure review highlighting ROI performance
  • Support Finance to deliver the annual budget
  • Provide analytical support to the wider business
  • Educate budget holders in good cost management practices
  • Assist in the building and development of various reporting cubes in Power BI reporting solution
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Part qualified Accountant / Finalist with experience in similar Finance Analyst / Cost Analyst role
  • Highly analytical with the ability to drill into and understand the numbers
  • Excellent IT skills, in particular Excel
  • Experience with MS Dynamics Nav, SQL, Jet Reports, MS Power BI and Jet Analytics would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Highly motivated self-starter, able to work on own initiative
  • First class interpersonal skills
