Have you got experience supporting pupils with special needsTradewind are recruiting for a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant for a special needs secondary school in north Manchester catering for young people with a wide range of special needs.The role is to start on 31st October or as soon as possible after that, on a full time & long term basis, Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm. Pay up to £80/day.About the roleThis is a role for a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant. You will be working with several pupils regularly who require varying degrees of support that could include Moving & Handling with wheelchairs or hoists as well as Personal Care such as changing clothes,general hygiene, assisting with toileting and other life skills. You will also be required to help pupils manage emotions, behaviour and focus on learning. You will need to work closely with the class teacher to make sure that the support you are providingsets your pupils up to succeed when it comes to engaging in lessons.About the school:This is a fantastic school that really looks after its staff and pupils. • have experience supporting children or young adults with physical needs.
• Experience using wheelchairs, hoists or delivering aspects of personal care.
• to have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one), Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
• Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.
