Student Communication & Marketing OfficerManchester - On campus 3 days a week from middle of August, 2 days a week WFH.Fixed Term - 18 Months (there may be an opportunity to move elsewhere in the organisation after the contract ends)Salary: £32,816 to £40,322 per annum DOEFocus of the role: Internal Comms 30%, External Comms 70%. You will be used to dealing in an organisation with at least 2,000 people and the role is 50:50 digital (social) and strategy.An exciting opportunity has arisen with our friends at a leading educational institution for a Student Communication & Marketing Officer to join their team. Dealing with all teams across the establishment you will be responsible for a variety of activitiesin relation to the early opening and operation of a new engineering campus from September 2021.You will be a focused and caring individual who will have the needs of the student experience at the heart of everything you do. Communication is key as you are taking a collaborative approach and amongst different departments to ensure the successful competitionof all priorities and projects.The Role:*Oversee individuals and teams as required.*Manage student communications and requirements including allocating tasks, targets, feedback, and training.*Create and develop presentations and training resources*Work on recruitment campaigns as well as attend and support recruitment events*Contribute to the overall development of the student recruitment strategy and ensuring this can be supported with appropriate data.*To help develop marketing strategies to increase publicity and awareness of the new campus and what is available.*To communicate with other departments and colleagues to enforce an accurate range of content and a clear message.*To assess potential risks and issues in support of student orientation, and ensuring this is communicated clearly.*Maintain targets and promote a hard-working team atmosphere You:*Significant experience and knowledge of student marketing, communications, and recruitment.*Knowledge of Adobe creative suite, CRM (MS dynamics) and CMS systems (Sitecore, T4).*To hold, or be willing to work towards, a marketing qualification.*Experience of delivering exceptional customer service.*Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.*Understanding a range of communication methods including copywriting, websites, face-to-face, social media, and end-to-end campaigns.*Proven ability to manage and develop people while maintain clear objectives and performance goals.*Higher Education or Public Sector or large organisation background is preferable for example:. NHS, Co-Op, Councils, Airports, Large Charities, Rail organisations. Please note appointees may be required to undertake a DBS check
