Job Description

Finance & Office Manager - MaldonI am recruiting a great Finance/Office Manager role in Maldon, its a great position with a mix of Finance, Office Support and basic HR responsibilities ensuring that the role is varied and interesting! The company are close-knit and friendly, with a great team atmosphere.Duties will include:

  • Monthly Management Accounts to Trial Balance
  • Manage and assist a small team
  • Prepayments and accruals - process and journal
  • Payroll - weekly and monthly, reporting to HMRC, PAYE-submissions and payments
  • P11ds-preparation, submission and P60 processing
  • Asset Register - update and depreciate and journal
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation and daily Bank Reconciliations
  • Processing quarterly VAT Returns ensuring they are prepared and submitted to HMRC
  • Sales Ledger including Invoice processing
  • Credit control duties, chasing of debt over the phone and via email
  • Purchase Ledger managing Supplier statement reconciliations and supplier payments
  • Credit Card transaction processing
  • Submitting and processing Expenses - process and journal
  • Pensions - process, report and journal
  • Preparation of Year End Accounts - Control accounts reconciled for the accountants to calculate the corporation tax
  • Basic HR duties such as on-boarding new employees and managing the exit process for leavers (including p45 processing)
  • Ensuring the Staff Handbook and manuals are up-to date alongside stationary ordering for the office
  • Keeping staff records updated via a HR system-holidays and absence
  • Booking training courses for staff members
  • ONS reports and overseeing Company Insurance renewals
  • Assist the General Manager and the Director with ad-hoc administrative duties
