Our client operate within a highly technical field, which offers the opportunity to work inone of the fastest growing global industries with some of the biggest and most cutting-edge technology and aerospace companies in the world.This is a rare opportunity to join an incredible business at a pivotal point; for the right individual, this represents an exciting and rewarding role where you can certainly make your mark.Offering attractive remuneration of c£57-65K plus bonus, benefits also include private healthcare, company pension scheme and 23 days holiday (plus BH).Leading a team of 6, the goal of the Sales Manager is to increase turnover and profitability of the company through guiding the sales team through effective and efficient working practices, as well as working within the sales team on existing and new businessto meet and exceed sales targets.Objectives of the role:

  • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth by whilst optimising current and improved operating capabilities.
  • Assessing and implementing improved processes including any appropriate innovative technologies, collaborating with team members, and implementing improvements.
  • Enforcing compliance in line with up-to-date legislation and taking action when necessary.
  • Working together with key management to compile budgets/targets and employ cost efficient strategies.
  • Business growth through new business and existing customer account management. Liaising with customers on their current and future requirements to ensure maximum potential growth.
  • Directly oversee and analyse internal sales and identify areas of improvement required.
  • Develop actionable sales strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the business plan.
  • Monitor operational performance and establish corrective measures as needed.
  • Reporting, both current and forecasted sales and marketing KPIs/Budgets.
  • Measure and report on operational performance and develop plans to improve relevant KPIs.
  • Providing technical knowledge and professional advice to customers and sales team members.
  • Increasing customer spend through existing business and new business growth.
  • Manage and enable all team members to exceed targets set.
  • Interview, hire, manage, train, and develop members of the sales team. Ensuring that all members of the team have clear objectives and goals and through tracking KPIs and data all targets are met. In addition, complement and support the leadership of theDirectors and to work in partnership to bring the best leadership to the forefront.
  • Ensure effective recruitment, ongoing development, performance management and staff retention.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a Sales Manager who can not only lead, inspire and motivate a team, ensuring sales targets are hit, but someone who can also develop and manage a pipeline of business, contributing to business turnover and profitability.
  • Sales experience within a technical industry
  • Experience of managing a team and driving sales
  • Excellent IT skills (including Power Point)
  • Degree in Science and/or technical related discipline
  • Passionate about Science and Technology
  • Team focused, driven and motivated
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Proven record of success in sales
  • SAP (Training will be given)
