This SEND school is a unique provision following a therapeutic humanistic approach to education and childhood development. The school aims to ensurethat vulnerable children stay within an educational setting or return from home education before returning to mainstream or specialist provision as quickly as possible.The School is built upon the vision and excellence of highly skilled professionals with many years of experience in education and in clinical environments. The well-being and academic achievement of most young people is significantly accelerated by addressingthe root causes of behavioural, emotional, social difficulties, and without a focus on these areas some young people simply cannot access education.The Assistant Headteacher will be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, and follow school policies and the code of conduct.Assistant Headteacher Core Responsibilities:Managing staff and resources Lead on particular whole-school strategies and policy areasFormulating the aims and objectives of the schoolEstablishing policies for achieving these aims and objectivesMonitoring progress towards the achievement of the school’s aims and objectivesA timetabled teaching commitment to be agreed with the HeadteacherSupport the headteacher and other SLT in the day-to-day management of the schoolCommunicate the school’s vision compellingly and support the headteacher’s strategic leadershipIf you would like to apply for the Assistant Headteacher position, please click apply.
