Job Description

  • To establish, lead and co-ordinate evidence based physical health practice initiatives across the service
  • Line management responsibilities, including completion of supervision and appraisals
  • Implement vaccination programmes and lead on the Clozapine Clinic at the Hospital
  • Provide a programme of health promotion and education in close collaboration with the dietician and nursing staff
  • Coordinate the implementation of physical health screening across the service including access to cervical screening for the women. Regular monitoring and interventions for patients with long term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, hypertension, epilepsyetc.
  • Coordinate the ongoing monitoring of physical health of all patients including annual health checks in close collaboration with the ward doctors and physical health leads
  • To work closely with the ward doctors and physical health leads in ensuring that patients across the service have access to primary care services including dental and eye checks
  • To maintain working knowledge of legislation, company policies, and other relevant local & national guidance pertaining to physical health guidance within mental health services

YouAn experienced RGN/RMN with a current Pin Number, youll haveEssential:
