Job Description

Business intelligence & insights lead with strong data skills for global pharmaceutical company in Maidenhead Your new companyIs a global pharmaceutical company looking to add a business insights / BI & analytics specialist to their growing team in the M4 Corridor to take on projects across several assets in their portfolio.They have an excellent corporate atmosphere and a strong pipeline.Your new roleYou will be joining an established business insights & intelligence team to analyse the performance of multiple assets in the companys portfolio across the UK & Ireland, developing strategies and delivering these to senior management, liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors / systems providers. This role is initially remote based and a long-term (over 12 months) contractMain duties will include:

  • Carrying out business intelligence and analytics work on products;
  • Managing and helping shape insights projects to gather product / marketplace information;
  • Forecasting, along with colleagues;
  • Data wrangling, management, interpretation and analysis from multiple internal and external sources;
  • Evaluating key market place trends, in order to identify business opportunities;
  • Generating insights from data analysis, eg market research projects, CRM or other secondary data;
  • Developing and delivering strategic recommendations on brand strategy, as well as Business Intelligence plans;
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and field force;
  • Developing dashboards/data visualisations using software such as Qlik, Tableau or PowerBI;
  • Dealing with third party vendors; and
  • Leading and overseeing projects, ensuring effective timeline management.
    • What youll need to succeedAs well as excellent organisational, communication and analytical skills, you should have:
  • A strong track record within pharmaceutical business intelligence, analytics, forecasting or market research;
  • Experience of working on projects across the UK pharmaceutical / healthcare market;
  • Project management experience, including setting and managing timelines and milestones;
  • A track record of working with patient, sales, homecare or similar datasets, either in-house or from providers like IQVIA;
  • Excellent people skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence decisions;
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • A technical, business or scientific background, eg BSc, MSc or equivalent experience; and
  • Experience using dashboards and/or data visualisation or similar tools, eg using Excel, Qlikview / Qliksense, Tableau, PowerBI, Veeva or Salesforce
