Exciting Opportunity for Experienced General Nurse/Paramedic!Are you a qualified general nurse or paramedic with a passion for making a difference Do you have previous experience as a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional or keen to explore this dynamic field We have a unique opportunity for you!The post holder will have a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in an acute medical background (such as A&E, intensive care or as a Paramedic) and previous leadership experience.Embark on a Meaningful Journey in Health & Justice Care!Join a team thats dedicated to making a real difference in the Thames Valley region. With 6 main custody suites spread across Banbury, Abingdon, Milton Keynes, Maidenhead, Aylesbury, and Loddon Valley, The CCC will provide essential healthcare support whereits needed most. Shift pattern The 4-on-4-off rota pattern will give you the ability to plan your personal life months in advance. The shift pattern comprises of 2-day shifts, 2-night shifts then 4 days off (12 hour shifts, 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am). Main Duties of the role
  • Providing line management, including supervision, appraisal, managing poor performance and identifying CPD strategies.
  • Forensic sampling (including road traffic offence bloods).
  • Signposting and conducting referrals; offering support for vulnerabilities and supporting patients to break patterns of re-offending.
  • Delivering substance misuse therapies.
  • Assessment & care of detainees and staff in custody suites.
Essential Criteria
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic.
  • A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience acute medical healthcare experience.
  • Previous experience as a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional.
Desirable Criteria Previous experience in any of the following would be ideal to assist you in the role; A&E, Walk in Centre, Paramedic Practitioner, Substance Misuse, Community Nursing, Police Custody, Prison, or other relevant discipline.
