Job Description

Founded in 1960, our client’s school is an independent co-educational day school. From the start, the school has been popular and successful, growing organically and by acquisition to encompass three sites, all within Maidenhead.COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING OFFICERCompetitive Salary Dependent on Experience + Full TrainingMaidenheadFull-time - 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Communication and Marketing Officer to join our client’s Marketing Department, starting as soon as possible.The successful candidate will support the Principals and the Marketing Manager in implementing the detail of the school’s Marketing Plan; delivering the marketing and communication functions for the School’s six divisions across three sites, to ensure the School’s image and reputation is enhanced and promoted and recruitment targets achieved.About YouThe ideal candidate will be a natural communicator, with good IT / digital skills and the ability to write interesting copy. Specific responsibilities will focus on the school’s online presence and PR related activities.   • Marketing experience or qualification
  • Experience or a proven understanding of digital and social media
  • Knowledge / experience of website content management systems and social media platforms
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A high level of accuracy, good IT / digital skills, and an eye for detail
  • A flexible and organised approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • An ability to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and partners and to enjoy being part of a small friendly team
  • Capacity to travel between sites using own transport
  • An ability to be flexible outside of the normal working hours as occasional weekend and evening work may be required at times
    • Although full training will be given, previous experience working in a similar role would be a distinct advantage.
