Job Description

My successful client in West Sussex undertake asset management as well as provide advisory, technical management and remarketing services within the aviation industry. They are now seeking a Database Administrator who can turn their hand to a multitude of tasks to support their expanding business in an administrative/analytical capacity! Previous experience within aviation is not essential, but experience in database administration, accuracy in data inputting (alphanumerical), possibly previous experience in a finance/invoicing/asset management role plus a desire to ‘Get it right first time’ would be ideal. Training will be provided in the industry terminology and use of the asset management software. As a Database Administrator, this is a rare opportunity to assist the team in the administration of the Company’s portfolio of managed aircraft.Responsibilities will include:

Administration of the Company’s portfolio of managed aircraft

Updating of monthly/quarterly/annual aircraft utilisation and alerting Portfolio Manager of any irregularities/maintenance events

Liaison with external stakeholders to resolve reporting irregularities

Production and issuing of invoices

Set up of new aircraft in both company systems and with external parties

Archiving of aircraft which leave the portfolio

Becoming an expert in the use of Leasepoint asset management software and assist in developing the company’s use of the software to its full functionality. Training can be provided.

Identification of irregularities/issues and suggesting potential improvements

Testing of fixes/enhancements

Liaison with the supplier of Leasepoint with any technical queries

Assist the Asset Management team as required

Production of aircraft inspection reports

Liaison with clients/operators to arrange aircraft inspections in the absence of Administrator, Asset Management

Liaison with sub-contracted technical personnel including drafting of Technical Service Agreements in the absence of Administrator, Asset Management.

Support for Portfolio Manager, Technical Manager and Director Asset Management as required.

Ideal candidate profile:

A competent user of databases

A competent MS Excel user, to the level of inputting and using basic formulae

Excellent accuracy in data entry, proof reading and written use of the English language

Enthusiastic and self-motivated; capable of working independently

An organised multi-tasker with a high level of attention to detail

Ability to work flexibly in order to meet commercial deadlines under pressure

Strong oral and written communication skills

Aviation background beneficial but not essential

Additional information:

Permanent Mon-Fri role, 37.5 hours per week (Flexible working hours)

Salary £24,000 - £27,000 depending on experience
