You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective running of the transport operation, promoting a culture of being safe, inclusive, impactful, game changingand delivering results, whilst continually striving for excellence in both fleet and driver compliance.The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work on a 5 out of 7 shift pattern (days), though some flexibility may be required during peak times.Pay, benefits and more:Were looking to offer a competitive salary. Coordinate the transport operation of the depot to ensure the fleet operates in full compliance of all driver and vehicle legislation
Manage the planning and organising of schedules and the operational work of the transport function, including the management and development of planners, supervisors and other colleagues
Ensure fleet is serviced and maintained to ensure maximum on road time, ensuring all standards comply with policy and legislation
Ensure agreements are in place with external suppliers to provide sufficient drivers, vehicles and trailers when required

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Demonstrable experience within a similar role, managing a large transport operation
International CPC
Proficient with continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives
Knowledge of Paragon system is desirable
