Job Description

Transpport Planning Manager - £35-40,000 +BenefitsBased at our Head Office in Macclesfield.SuperBike Factory was founded in 2010 and we are the largest retailer of used motorbikes in the UK and Europe. We have 2 existing Master Sites, Macclesfield and Donington, which both incorporate a large Workshop and Bike Showroom, each with over 1500 bikeson display to the public.SuperBike Factory are in a period of hyper growth with ambitious plans and additional sites opening in the coming months. We are lucky enough to be backed by one of the most successful private equity houses in Europe helping us deliver this scale of expansion!.We have four more sites opening in the next 18 months.We are currently looking for a Transport Planning Manager to oversee the 50+ Drivers we currently have nationwide.Reponsibilities of the Transport Planning Manager:

  • Support and manage the day-to-day operations of the transport function within the SBF Group
  • Fleet planning and routing to maximise driving capacity
  • Training and ongoing coaching of drivers to ensure SBF standards are met
  • Provide support and guidance on the parameters for chipping
  • Ensure all H&S requirements are met for the planning team and drivers
  • Manage the driver hours within EU regulation
  • Working closely with the people team recruit new drivers to ensure the capacity is maintained in the driving team
  • Create a proactive continuous improvement culture within the team to ensure the team are operating as efficiently and are always striving to make it better
  • Manage the transport planners to optimise ways of working within the planning function and provide support to the team
  • Manage the team to deliver against key financial and performance related local and national targets ensuring deadlines are met
  • Work closely with the SMT to provide data, insight and support help deliver transport optimisation and improvement projects
  • Ensuring all Legal, Maintenance, EU Driving Regulations and Operational procedures are always adhered to, ensuring the safety of self and others.
  • Support the delivery of the Business Plan - setting and achieving specific measurable targets for the team.
  • Maximise productivity and manage resource in order to reduce costs.
  • Effectively communicating operational and business plans and changes to all colleagues, supporting the implementation of the communications plan.
  • Performance Management of all colleagues within the team to ensure the achievement of operational targets.
  • Working closely with the Fleet manager ensure that vehicle are available when required to meet business demands
