Job Description

Our client is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their service desk team in Macclesfield!They believe in their staff, and their invest heavily in training, so if you are an ambitious individual that strives to learn whilst being rewarded for your efforts, Our client will support you whilst maximising your potential in their organisation.Technical Support Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Resolve 3rd Line incidents
  • Act as a technical lead for any major incidents or priority 1 situations
  • Supporting new product releases through testing, evaluation and onboarding stages
  • Providing an escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line Service Desk Engineers
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement both technically and with processes
  • Delivering against their SLAs
Technical Support Engineer Requirements:
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar role preferably working for an MSP
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • A proven problem solver
  • Able to deliver and troubleshoot complex technical solutions
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills
  • Positive team working ethos and commitment to delivery and learning
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced and pressured role.
Technical Knowledge:
  • Windows Server (AD, DNS, Group Policy, etc.)
  • Microsoft 365
  • Hyper-V
  • Networking
  • Firewalls (preferably FortiGate)
  • WiFi
Qualifications (one or more of the following):
  • MCSE: Core Infrastructure
  • MCSE: Productivity
  • MCSA: Windows Server
  • MCSA: Office 365
