They collaborate with lead researchers and organisations to enhance the understanding of immunological, oncological, neurological and other disease areas. Based inAlderley Park, they are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join their drug discovery and team as a Senior Scientist on a full-time and permanent basis. If you have a PhD in Neuroscience, with additional postdoctoralor industry experience and are interested in setting up exciting cell models to investigate disease within the central nervous system (CNS), this represents a fantastic opportunity.The RoleThis is a role suited to experienced scientists who have recently obtained a PhD in in vitro neurobiology or who have postdoctoral experience in academia or industry. It is also open to MSc or BSc holders with many years of industry experience within neurobiology. Your research will have been focused on Neurobiology, iPSCs or neuroscienceor the CNS. You will be responsible for leading neurobiology drug discovery and disease modelling projects. You will develop assays to characterise the response of CNS cell types (microglia, astrocytes, neurons, neural progenitors). You will communicate withexternal and internal partners. All of this will be done whilst communicating effectively with interdisciplinary teams, recording findings and following safety protocols. Other responsibilities include:
