Job Description

Mechanical Engineer - Macclesfield - Up to £42,000 depending upon experienceEuropes largest independent polyurethane-based leader in the delivery of innovative polyurethane technologies with decades of experience specialising in tailor-made systems, proud to supply their products globally.We would like to expand our Engineering team with an apprentice-trained Maintenance Fitter/Engineer, who will report to the Head of Engineering to deliver planned and re-active maintenance. Mechanical Engineer - The Rewards

  • Day shift Mon- Fri 07.00 - 15.30hrs

Mechanical Engineer - Requirements
  • Minimum of NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
  • Able to carry out basic MIG, TIG AND Stick Welding.
  • Fabrication work of guarding, pipe fitting, brackets, framing etc.
  • Repair & Service Graco & Aro Diaphragm pumps.
  • Experience in basic pneumatics, hydraulics, maintenance of valves, mixers, blenders, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, liquid filling lines/nozzles etc.
  • Site services checks on chillers, compressors, steam boiler etc.
  • Ability to work in a team or alone using your own initiative with safety for yourself and others at all times.
Mechanical Engineer - Responsibilities
  • Regular inspection, repair and improvement of machinery and equipment.
  • Carry out site maintenance/improvements.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance.
  • Support Engineering projects.
  • New machine installation.
  • Ensure downtime is kept to a minimum to ensure the cost-effective running of the plant and equipment availability.
