Timber Sales - Internal Sales ExecutiveTimber Supplier - Macclesfield, CheshireSalary £25,000k - £30,000 dependant on experienceThis is a senior position within our clients team.We are recruiting a bit of a hybrid. It is a role that shouldnt really be shackled by a job title as the role is diverse. But if pressed to give it a title it could be described as an Internal Sales position with some senior counter sales work as well whichhelps to keep the role varied and interesting. The role is with a well known and extremely well respected Timber Supplies business in the Macclesfield area.We need to find someone special. A sales professional from the building supplies sector, ideally with a good knowledge of softwoods, sheet materials and also hardwood materials.An exciting opportunity to work for a leading timber specialist in the Cheshire. This Internal Sales role will provide a fantastic salary, career development and great prospects moving forward.

  • Sales Experience with a Timber Merchants / Timber Distributor / Timber Supplier
  • Sales Experience with a Building Supplies Company or Builders Merchants with an understanding of timber
  • Sheet Material, Softwood & Hardwood Product Knowledge

We need a proactive, hungry sales professional from the timber supplies or building supplies / builders merchants sector who will go above and beyond.You may also will be working on the trade counter delivering the very best service to the cash customers. Asking questions, finding about the projects the clients are working on, taking quotation enquiries, developing rapport with these people and upsellingwhere possible. You will need to be able to think on your feet and ideally demonstrate sound timber knowledge - sheet materials, softwood, hardwood - when called upon.The other part of the role is working on the quotations, generating the quotes and following these up, turning them into orders. We are looking for a confident individual with high levels of customer service. This role requires someone who is proactive,able to generate quotations and will pick up the phone and talk to customers!
