Summary The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. Wherever possible, we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but were looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of thebusiness. The role will include weekends and Bank Holidays, however, there are no evenings or split shifts.Salary: £10.50 per hour.Duration: Fixed Term ContractInterview date: TBC What its like to work here We are a small team in Food and Beverage, who all muck in together to run our two tearooms, one at either end of the gorge to satisfy the needs our visitors. Lydford Gorge itself is a 11,500 year old gorge on the edge of Dartmoor, with enveloping trees andhigh rocky crags with sounds of bird calls, dripping water and a gurgling river. A place of Special Scientific Interest and home to one of the few luxuriantly green and humid rain forests in the South West. We have two distinct areas of awe; the 30m high WhiteladyWaterfall and the Devils Cauldron pothole at either end of the gorge.To find out more about what it’s like to work in a food and beverage team for the National Trust,clickhere towatch our video. What youll be doing With your love of working with people, positive attitude, and desire to provide an excellent service, you’ll welcome and look after every customer who visits our Food and Beverage outlets.From time to time you may be required to assist the kitchen team with food prep, but your core focus will be from a front of house perspective.You will receive a bespoke induction, allergen/food safety training and the coaching required to fulfil in role.
