Job Description

Rev & Regs are recruiting for an Investment Trust Accountant position for a large multinational Financial Services company. You will be responsible for maintaining the books and records of a broad range of funds.Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of financial statements for a range of complex Investment Companies and OEIC sub funds.
  • Preparation and review of management and board reporting and other external returns.
  • Attendance at audit committee meetings to support the presentation of financial reporting material.
  • Oversight of activities performed by a third part service provider.
  • Co-ordination of the external audit for the Investment Companies.
  • Liaison with tax specialists and Depositary/Trustee.
  • Conduct analysis and review of dividend announcements to ensure correct accounting treatment.
  • Resolution of audit queries and reconciling positions to Depositary statements.
  • Keeping abreast of industry and technical developments.
Experience:
  • Previous fund statutory reporting experience for Investment Company Funds.
  • Proven understanding and knowledge of the AIC SORP and or IA SORP.
  • Proven ability to communicate and work with all levels of personnel.
  • Analytical approach with aptitude to work independently and solve complex problems.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and organise own time in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and numerate mind-set.
  • Part qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
  • Team player with a flexible attitude, able to prioritise, work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to share knowledge with colleagues and work collaboratively to achieve team goals.
  • Good organisational skills, a self-starter who is able to take ownership of issues.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of other Office programmes.
Salary: £75,000 plus bonus Location: Hybrid (2 days per week in Surrey office) Required skills
