We are committed to providing the best support possible and continually strive to improve our services by offering a full and comprehensive training programme and developmental opportunities to staff.About the role and the serviceWe are looking for a new manager to develop into this role as an opportunity to take the next step in their career progression. You will be introduced to working with two supported living services; one for two gentlemen and two ladies living together ina bungalow; and another where we support two ladies currently and are working with the local authority to move a third person in. You will be responsible for leading two staff teams, including one assistant manager.You will be working alongside and coaching the existing staff teams to support the seven individuals to achieve positive outcomes and to integrate into their local community. The one service is supporting two men and two women to share a well-adapted largebungalow in the Gowerton area of Swansea. The second service is supporting two men and a lady who live nearby in a three-bedroom house. People supported are of mixed ages and need some support to maintain their skills at home and in the local community. Peopleenjoy several activities such as shopping, eating out, visiting the theatre, cinema, bowling, watching sports, baking, gardening, including support to take care of live chickens and ducks.All are keen to learn new skills, and their support team need to show enthusiasm and commitment in helping them to take a much more active part in running their home.We want a proactive person who thinks outside the box, has a can do attitude and a willingness to share skills, hobbies and interests to enable people to improve their quality of life by delivering excellent person-centred support. Experience of workingin partnership with family and health professionals to develop and implement support plans would be essential. Having a good knowledge of person-centred planning would be highly beneficial when supporting some people who use alternative methods of communicationand may need hand-on-hand support to enable them to take an active role in maintaining their home so people can reach their full potential.About you
