Job Description

Our client has a new opportunity for an experienced UX/UI designer to join them, at an exciting time of rapid growth. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic UX/UI designer with proven software design skills and an excellent grasp of UX best practices & design trends within the education sector.This individual will join a team of talented developers, all masters of their craft, driving our web and mobile applications, developing wireframes, mock-ups and user-friendly interfaces.Our client is an innovative software house, who are well funded and have aggressive growth plans, looking to double in size over the next 12 months.   • Design and showcase intuitive user journeys, storyboards, UI mock-ups and prototypes in collaboration with their product manager.
  • Create assets for digital platforms and mobile applications.
  • Optimise existing user interface designs whilst Identifying, troubleshooting, and helping to resolve UX problems.
  • Ensure their product meets accessibility and responsiveness requirements in accordance with their usability principles.
  • Participate in customer interviews, user tests and trend analysis.
  • Devise and document product style standards.
    • Skills & Experience RequiredEssential
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role designing modern, responsive UI’s with relevant qualifications.
  • Proven experience in all phases of the design process including user research, wire framing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing.
  • Proficiency in designing interfaces and building prototypes using tools such as Balsamiq, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and similar products.
  • Experience with Issue Tracking softwaresuch asYouTrackorJira.
  • Good standard of written & oral communication skills with the ability to present designs to internal stakeholders.
  • Can-do attitude with a desire to improve and shape our product interface within a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to manage workload, prioritise tasks and participate in the development team meetings.
  • Passion for design; not satisfied with the status quo and always thinking of ways to improve.

  • A strong portfolio of previous work, demonstrating an understanding of UI/UX design and trends.
  • Project experience within an agilesoftware developmentenvironment, preferably in the education EdTech industry
  • Familiaritywith educational productssuch as but not limited toSchoolComms, Teachers2Parents, ParentPay, or similar.
