Gi Group are looking for enthusiastic production operatives to joint our new clients post knitting manufacturing department on a permanent basis!Our client, based in Shepshed, Manufactures and supplies medical grade wound care throughout the UK including the NHS using state of the art knitting technology to produce 1000s of products every day! As a post knitting Operative you will be responsible for the end of line processes, rolling and packaging products ready to be shipped out around the UK. Permanent Production Operatives in this area are paid at £10.31 per hour with the prospect of promotion into other departments. Shifts are on a weekly rotational business:1 week nights (10-6, Sunday night 11-6)1 week mornings (6-2, Friday 6-1)1 week afternoons (2-10, Friday 1-8)Other Company Benefits Include:£100 Christmas VoucherProfit Share SchemePerformance bonusOn site parkingChanging and locker facilities including shower facilities Spacious break room with fridges, microwave and TVDuties of a Post Knitting Operative include: * Convert work in progress to finished goods following agreed processes and practices to maximise efficiencies and minimise costs.* Use relevant machinery (bandage rolling, bandage bagging, sewing, bartac etc.) safely and effectively reporting any machine issues promptly and appropriately* Escalate breakdowns to the Post Knitting Technician or Production Shift Leader as required to minimise down time* Escalate any material supply issues to the Production Shift Leader as required* Engage in routine maintenance tasks in line with your capabilities and the expectations of the role* Conduct regular quality checks and ensure that any issues are escalated to the Production Shift Leader in a timely manner* Demonstrate a flexible attitude, moving work location and changing activities in line with business needs * Ensure that the product being manufactured meets the high quality standards expected by our Team and our Customers* Ensure that production is completed in an efficient manner with the lowest possible waste * Demonstrate excellent communication skills whilst positively engaging with other Production Team Members and the wider business* Promote a positive team spiritApply now or Call Clarissa on Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited group of companies includes Gi Recruitment Limited, Draefern Limited, Gi Group Recruitment Ltd, INTOO (UK) Limited, Marks Sattin (UK) Limited, TACK TMI UK Limited and Grafton Professional Staffing Limited.
