Job Description

Analytical Chemist Lab Tech ­- 6 Month Initial ContractLoughborough - (up to £14.35 per hour)Scope:We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Analytical Chemist Laboratory Technician to join a progressive and dynamic company based in Loughborough. This organisation specialises in drug delivery development and manufacturing for the pharmaceuticalindustry. Our client is passionate about helping you realise the full potential of your career. Throughout this initial 6 month contract, you would be representing the department as required toexternal customers and regulators.Responsibilities:

  • Carry out analytical testing compliant with GMP regulations, delivering to plan on time in full
  • Deliver robust data and outcomes whilst working in a fast, flexible environment, with a strong focus on right first time.
  • Contribute to laboratory investigation reports (preliminary) and/or Quality incident reports
  • Promote a "safety first" culture and environment
  • Raise and report any safety incident as required
  • Corrective Action Preventative Awareness
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Previous method development or method validation experience
  • Experience in pharmaceutical product testing preferred
  • Good understanding of GMP and GLP preferred
  • Knowledge of Analytical Chemistry and its practical application
  • Understanding of basic statistics is desirable
  • Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong verbal and numerical aptitude skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently
