Job Description

Procurement Officer, this is a full time off based role. Up to £28,000 + benefitsLoughboroughThis is a brand new role due to growth in the business. This client is a global leader in their field and offer multiple services and products. They are passionate about people and their abilities and as a SME they value each and every person that works within this SME. If don’t drive not problem the offices are easily accessible by public transport.Key responsibilities:

  • Generate, process and organise purchase orders with suppliers;
  • Negotiate competitive material and order costs with suppliers;
  • Entry of all Supplier invoices into the Company accounting system;
  • Work with the Accountant to ensure the purchase ledger is kept up to date;
  • Work closely with the sales team, fabrication and warehouse to process all orders and manage deliveries
  • Maintain stock database, carry out stock takes and order stock & materials when required;
  • Manage and coordinate deliveries and consignments
  • Creating Job Cards for factory and installation teams
  • Order stock & materials;
  • Arrange for logistics and dispatch of shipping items;
  • Develop, maintain and keep up to date the company filing system;
  • Assist with other administration and logistics requirements;
  • Communicate with suppliers via phone and email;
  • Build good relationships with suppliers;
  • Work on procurement and Tender applications including creating relevant documentation;
  • Responsible for the migration and setting up of a new purchasing software system;
  • Experience Required:
  • Experience in procurement;
  • Efficient and well organised with a high attention to detail;
  • Excellent analytical ability;
  • Ability to multi task and work well under pressure;
  • Good interpersonnel skills;
  • Excellent Computer and IT skills in Apple Mac (Numbers, Pages, Keynote) and Microsoft Office;
  • Initially interviews will be held virtually and you will be asked to complete a covid questionnaire prior to attending an formal interviews. Required skills
