Industrial IT SpecialistDo you have the ability and experience to embed yourself on a manufacturing site as the IT specialist, whilst maintaining a strong link to a central IT function, acting as the connection between the twoIn this newly created role, youll be the sole person on site to support with improvement activities, supporting and implementing a strategy, projects, and will work closely with highly skilled Engineering teams.Youll be working for Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, based on site at British Gypsum (part of Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions) in East Leake. British Gypsum is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK, and the UKs leadingmanufacturer of interior lining systems.What will I be doing in the roleYoull be responsible for all aspects of Industrial IT support and compliance on the site. The role works closely with the central infrastructure teams to deliver a standardised support model, which youll support and help develop.In this role, some of the duties you will have, include;

• Help provide, or implement, compliant IT solutions to support local manufacturing initiatives
• Enforce existing general IT standards and help ensure they are used in the manufacturing area of the site
• Support manufacturing IT infrastructures, and ensure they meet Saint-Gobain standards
• Act as a focal point for internal stakeholders, IT Services, and Group Digital teams, in the event of operational or project issues and new changes or requirements
• To identify & take ownership of issues found and resolve at earliest opportunity according to priority and impact
• To follow change management processes for your systems
• To evaluate and apply industry best practices to your role and your system management tasks (vendor recommendations, s/w & security updates etc…)
• Ensure strong systems management processes, toolsets and documentation are developed and applied consistently for all manufacturing equipment & systems
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Infrastructure Manager on the development and introduction of a centralised support model
• Audit and verification of business continuity plans and compliance to Saint-Gobain security rules for manufacturing
• Develop & Support digital solutions and Industry 4.0 initiatives
• Build and develop relationships with site contacts, understanding of site systems and processes

Is this role right for meDue to the fact the role is new, and there is a low level of maturity as things stand, we are looking for someone with the following expertise and experience;

• Circa three years experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment is essential, including understanding of SCADA, MES and PLC
• Extensive experience of supporting and managing industrial IT - Network, Servers, IOT Devices, client Endpoints
• Experience working within ITIL Service Management environment; availability management, change management, incident and request management
• A formal certification (along the lines of MCSA, CCNA, VCP, RHCSA) would be preferred
• Confident being on the shop floor mixing with Engineers, as well as the central IT team
• High level communication skills both verbally and written, as well as strong stakeholder management ability/experience
