Job Description

VACANCY – Housing Officer Immediate StartLocation: East MidlandsLength: Temporary – ongoingHours: Monday – Friday 09:00am – 17:00pmPay: £15.00 - £17.00 via Umbrella / LTDVenn Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer based in East Midlands. This opportunity will be available to conduct working from home however weekly visits to schemes across the East Midlands will be required.Responsibilities of the role:

  • Coordinate the allocations and referral process for relevant schemes to minimise voids
  • Monitor rent accounts to minimise arrears
  • Contribute to the regular review and update of housing related agreements
  • Ensure up to date and accurate information is available for reporting purposes
  • Contribute as required to reports for commissioners, executive management team and/or Board meetings as required
  • Work in partnership with the maintenance department to ensure a quality provision is in place and repairs work is carried out to a high standard and on time
  • Contribute to the development of a targeted capital works program that makes best use of the available resources to maintain the value of our housing stock
  • Monitor and review health & safety, safeguarding and security risks to ensure safe and secure properties are provided
  • Oversee the tenancy enforcement process including attendance in court where necessary
    • Essential experience/requirements:
  • Previous experience in a related role
  • A full UK drivers’ license and access to a vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS
