Job Description

HGV Service and Repair Technician Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire Salary: Up to £42,120 + Excellent BenefitsThe Client:Our client is a leading automotive service company, delivering excellent customer service and best quality driving experience.The Role:As a HGV Service and Repair Technician, you will maintain and repair various commercial vehicles and trailers to meet DVSA and company standards.Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and trailers to DVSA and Company standards.
  • Diagnose and rectify various faults, ensuring cost-effective and safe repairs to a high standard.
  • Attend and repair disabled vehicles at customer sites.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and Company safe work processes.
  • Accurately record job details, timings, and service sheets.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the shift.
  • Stay updated with relevant DVSA and product developments, actively participating in training and continuous improvement activities.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Technical qualification related to commercial vehicles (City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in verbal and numerical reasoning.
  • Full driving license.
Desirable:
  • Strong understanding of commercial vehicles in a rental environment.
  • Experience in using R2C.
  • HGV and/or Forklift Truck License
