Job Description

Fantastic opportunity for an aspiring Accountant to join a niche business based in Longbridge. This Assistant Accountant position will directly support the UK Finance Manager with all aspects of accounting and provides the opportunity to shadow and develop.This role is ideally suited to a progressive Accountant looking to become qualified over time with real opportunity to step into a senior role. Key tasks: - Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and KPIs, including balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments - Assist in the preparation of the year end accounts - Assist in the annual budget process - Analysing overheads and providing explanations of costs - Querying and reporting to management job cost variances - Assisting the transactional team and providing cover as and when necessary - Ad-hoc duties and requests Please get in touch if this sounds of interest.
