The Internal Services Accessibility Review Project (ISAR)is part of Chief Digital and Information Officer Group (CDIO) and sits in Mobility and workplace Service (MWPS). CDIO are committed to ensuring ourInternal IT Services are accessible to all. As a Test Analyst you will have the opportunity to support our ambition for HMRC to be the exemplar for Accessibility and Assistive Technology across all Government Departments. During the length of the Project,we will focus on analysis of HMRCs Internal Service against Accessibility Standards through stringent Accessibility Testing. We will provide robust data/information and strong business cases to allow effective prioritising of remediation where appropriate.JobdescriptionYou will be part of a team of Test Analysts, testing internal HMRC services and applications against WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1 standard. This supports HMRCs dedication to ensure positive employee experience and maximum contributionfor all our colleagues, and our obligation for accessibility compliance. You will work as part of the project and be part of highly motivated team of testers. This role provides an excellent opportunity for somebody to utilise their existing IT technical skillsand knowledge around Accessibility and Assistive Technology.ResponsibilitiesConduct accessibility testing for all assigned projects in alignment with HMRC Test Policy and Strategy and to agreed standards and timelines. Collaborate with stakeholders to definescope of testing and develop test plans. Work with HMRC assistive technology users to test hardware and software components. Use technical tools to evaluate products. Identify and communicate issues discovered during testing to key individuals and teams. Producetest reports following agreed standards. Working effectively as part of a developing team Essential Criteria: Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Experience of assistive technologies and knowledge of how they operate. Experience of workingin a test environment. An understanding of different user needs including those who use Assistive Technologies or have access needs. Desirable Criteria: Good awareness of Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No.2) Accessibility Regulations2018 Knowledge of the Equality Act 2010.
