Job Description

Role: Service DesignerLocation: HomebasedDay rate: £300-£500 p/dCategorisation: deemed Outside IR35Duration 8-12 weeksResponsibilities:

  • Responsible for the ITIL Service and Design stages of the service lifecycle
  • Focus on establishing the service portfolio to deliver services with exemplary customer experience
  • Design offerings based on stakeholder needs with an eye toward service management and operations
  • Development of business processes and process flows
  • Development of RACI models
  • KT to the business of service design and processes
  • Document the Service Design for a series of Data and Analytics offerings covering:
  • AWS,
  • Hadoop,
  • Managed Services,
  • Technical Resourcing,
  • Professional Services,
  • Data Lakes
  • Use case design
    • Experience:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Service Design & Transition Management processes and standards.
  • Strong, influential leader and team player with great interpersonal skills.
  • High level understanding of a breadth of technology stacks AWS, Hadoop, Data Lake, Data Visualisation, Cloud based systems, Information Security and how these fit together
  • Demonstrated experience designing high-quality services with incentivised SLAs/performance standards.
  • Exposure to various delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc)
  • Good understanding of Service Management and Operations
  • It would be advantageous to have a qualification in ITIL Foundation, ITIL v3 Practitioner, ITIL v3 Expert, BCS Specialist Certificates or ITIL Intermediate (one or more of: Service Offerings & Agreements, Service Design, Service Transition)
  • Ability to understand complex technical designs and influence outcomes to fit defined service acceptance criteria
