Job Description

Hunter Merrifield are delighted to partner Cure Parkinsons to find a proactive and creative Senior Individual Giving Fundraiser to develop and manage individual giving across the charity. You will be responsible for the delivery of the individual givingprogramme focused around regular and payroll giving, cash appeals, gifts in wills and in memory giving.Job Title: Senior Individual Giving FundraiserOrganisation: Cure ParkinsonsSalary: Up to £30,000Location: London based office & home, with a minimum of 3 days in the officeContract: Full time, permanentBenefits: 28 days holiday, three of which must be taking over Christmas, plus bank holidays. Pension enrolment and flexible workingClosing date: 7th OctoberRequired: CV and Cover LetterAbout Cure Parkinsons Curing Parkinsons needs work-class collaborative science involving researchers, clinicians, the pharmaceutical industry and, most importantly, people who are living with Parkinsons. This collaboration is at the heart of their research programme.Their leadership and funding enables the worlds leading neuroscientists and neurologists to prioritise together, the next generation of drugs for clinical trial.Job Responsibilities:

  • To raise funds from individuals against agreed annual targets and grow income year-on-year.
  • To develop and implement plans that grow Cure Parkinsons individual supporter base through inspiring and engaging one-off and regular giving fundraising appeals, and Legacy and in-memory giving activities, by using effective digital fundraising techniquesand organising engagement events.
  • To use digital acquisition techniques to bring on board new supporters, increasing both the number of supporters on our database and their engagement with the charity.
  • To write engaging and compelling copy for multi-channel appeals.
  • To provide excellent stewardship to all regular givers, in-memory donors and legacy pledgers, developing supporter journeys that build relationships, grow their connection to Cure Parkinsons and keep them engaged with our work.
  • To develop and deliver our legacy giving campaign, Planting for a Cure, implementing a marketing and events plan that brings on board new legacy pledges each year.
Personal Specification:
  • Experience in one or more of: individual and regular giving, Gifts in Wills or Memoriam, digital marketing and a proven track record in achieving results
  • Experience of working on campaigns across key channels such a digital, direct mail, email and social media
  • Skilled at developing effective relationships with internal and external parties at all levels
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently under own initiative and cooperatively as part of a fundraising team
