Job Description

Join us as a Scrum Master in Financial Crime Technology

  • Were looking for an experienced Scrum Master with a background in project delivery along with strong coaching skills to mature our agile practices
  • Youll make sure that your team lives by the values of Scrum, empowering them to become high performing to increase the productivity, transparency, frequency and quality of delivery
  • Hone your project skills as you work with talented people in a collaborative and innovative environment, with access to the banks Agile community, experts and events
What youll doThis role will see you coaching and guiding your team to perform at their highest level and at a sustainable pace. Youll remove any impediments to progress, facilitate meetings, protect the team from outside influences or distractions and work with the productowner to make sure that the product backlog is in good shape and ready for the next sprint. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Acting as process owner for the team, and maintaining the relationship with the projects key stakeholders
  • Building a safe environment for your team
  • Supporting the Release Train Manager, Product Owner and Platform Lead in programme increment (PI) with planning and outcome delivery
  • Ensuring agile ceremonies and best practices are embedded around metrics, along with maturing the use of LeanKit
  • Encouraging the team to build relationships to promote internal and external communication, improving transparency, and sharing information with all interested parties
  • Managing budgets, forecasts and maintaining delivery roadmaps
  • Identifying and evaluating project risks, devising effective mitigation strategies whilst adhering to the governance structure for managing RAID
The skills youll needWere looking for someone with experience of successful Scrum adoption along with a Scrum Master or Project Management certification. Youll need knowledge of key data concepts such as data controls and management, architecture and engineering, along with managingdata intensive deliveries. Youll also need knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency, as well as experience of building a culture of transparency within feature teams byempowering individuals and inspiring a collaborative team performance. Well look to you to demonstrate:
  • A background in coaching cross-functional teams into high performing teams
  • Experience of changing organisational, team or department mindsets and structure
  • A track record of project planning and controls, including managing milestones, risks, financials and resources
  • An understanding of the Agile manifesto and its principles
  • Knowledge of Financial Crime processes and systems would be advantageous
  • Experience working on test-driven development and continuous integration would also be advantageous
