Job Description

Project ManagerLondon, flexible hybrid working£38,000-£41,000 FTE5-Month Fixed-Term ContractFull-time, 34 hours per weekCharity People are working with an incredible organisation that aims to maximise well-being and social justice within environmental limits through innovative economic thinking and practical solutions. Their work involves pilot projects, in-depth research,campaigning, and informing policy.We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join their team as a Project Manager. In this pivotal role, you will play a central part in driving the success of their projects, supporting a culture of efficient project management, and ensuringtheir commitment to excellence in all aspects of their work. If you are passionate about project management, collaboration, and making a positive impact, we encourage you to apply.About the roleProgramme/Project ManagementAs the Project Manager, you will lead the transformation of the project management approach by collaborating with Directors and Heads of teams to cultivate a new project management culture. You will create comprehensive work plans that incorporate financialresourcing, capacity, and agreed milestones using their project management system (Monday.com) for all projects. Reporting on key milestones and KPIs, youll provide training and support to staff, including new hires, ensuring effective scoping, resourcing,and management of projects and programs.Grant and stakeholder management You will also play a pivotal role in the grant management, ensuring the fulfilment of commitments to funders and grantee partners. Youll take charge of the grant function, working closely with project leads on reporting, monitoring, and keeping crucialinformation up-to-date in their systems. Building robust relationships with project teams and finance, youll coordinate regular updates, monitoring reports, and assess progress on outcomes and expenditure, ensuring the effective execution of their projects.About youThe ideal candidate for this role brings a diverse skill set to the table, encompassing:

  • Experience in Building and Enhancing Team Collaboration: A track record of establishing and integrating systems and processes that foster effective teamwork.
  • Proficiency in Project Management: Demonstrated ability to create well-defined work plans with clear resourcing, planned outputs, and time estimates.
  • Familiarity with Project Management Systems: Experience with tools like Monday.com or similar systems, coupled with a proactive approach to exploring new digital tools and AI advancements for workload optimisation.
  • Experience in Fundraising, Business Development, or Budgeting: A background in any of these areas, along with the ability to resource and strategise for complex plans and programs.
  • Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills: Adept at working within diverse teams, valuing and embracing cultural differences.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: A forward-thinking mindset that actively seeks process improvements in project and program management.
  • Effective Relationship Building and Influencing Skills: Demonstrated capacity to build strong relationships in both formal and informal settings.
  • Quick Learning and Organisational Skills: Able to manage multiple concurrent work streams while adapting to new information and solving challenges.
