All candidates will be reviewed by the EDDRP UK hiring team.The role of Lead Technical Architect is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technical architect to join a small team designing and building the data infrastructure and systems to power one of the worlds largest long-term population health studies. The role will suit someone who has designed and scaled multiple online services and has an in-depth understanding of technology stacks and the modern set of frameworks, tools and services.The environment will be mixed, with external technology suppliers, licensed software as well as from-scratch software development. You will be joining a greenfield project, in at the start, working out how all the pieces fit together.You will be a key member of the team who will prototype, innovate and solve challenging issues of scale and performance reach and accessibility across a broad spectrum of society. You will help us to design a system which enables complex data linkage and coding, strict privacy and security requirements, and the development of large and varied datasets including genomics.The work will involve design and architecture, working with a multidisciplinary in-house team, experimentation, analysis and investigation of new tools and technologies, serving the needs of both the study participants and researchers from industry, charities and academia.Key Responsibilities
