Location: London - mainly Home-Based with some travel to London / Nottingham offices*Salary/Benefits: Up to £32k + 10% bonus + flexibilityI don’t actually know what to title this role because it’s a bit of everything. You could describe this position as the fixer’, this will span helpdesk through to 3rd line support, but it will also involve other software challenges, the broader your technical skillset, the more you’ll be bringing to the table. I’d describe the kind of person who is right for this role to have a knack when it comes to IT problem solving & tech in general.Maybe as a kid you were a tinkerer, first it was PCs and laptops, and then graduated to servers or even building a home rig, toying with Rasberry Pi / home automation Whether you studied IT or not, you are in your element when you’re hands-on, figuring out problems and finding solutions using your initiative (and Google!).You might be stuck in a mundane helpdesk / IT Admin role now, but you really want the chance to progress being an all-rounder, to have more responsibility for the IT estate of a business - whether it’s WordPress sites, Networks, Cloud Services (particularly AWS), Domain / DNS, general support or the unknown. You want to work in a business that throws up challenges which isn’t the same daily grind…This is a small but well-established company, much of the IT is outsourced so there isn’t a need for someone to be a seasoned expert in every area, but there is a need for someone who is adaptable and technically driven. Someone able to pick up a project / ticket and figure out the solution, even if it’s not something they’ve come across before.You will be given a lot of responsibility in this role so you can’t expect to have your hand held’ but you will be given direction and guidance.
