Job Description

Job Title: IT Business AnalystContract type: PermanentLocation: LondonWorking arrangement: Remote with occasional on-site travelSalary: ranging from £50,000 - £60,000 (with a generous benefits package!)Reports to: Head of IT Project DeliveryWe are working exclusively with a London based university on an exciting permanent opportunity. The University is in Year 5 of their transformational 10-year strategic plan and are looking to appoint an IT Business Analyst who is delivery-focused with aproduct-led mindset.The Business Analyst will have a crucial role ensuring the quality and delivery of a fit for purpose solution and working collaboratively to transform the universitys digital landscape.Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Investigate and analyse options for new and existing services
  • Assist in developing business cases, identifying options and providing all relevant background information
  • Examine business processes (AS IS) and identify any gaps in process, opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Create new end-to-end processes (TO BE) in conjunction with relevant stakeholders
  • Produce both high-level business process maps and detailed descriptions of specific processes
  • Assist with the implementation of new processes, features and tools
  • Assist the project team by creating documents, facilitation of workshops, analysis of data, management of quality plans and acceptance criteria
  • Review requirements and specifications to define appropriate conditions for acceptance testing.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of 4+ years as a Business Analyst
  • Proven experience of detailed requirements engineering and prioritisation
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering detailed acceptance criterion
  • Demonstrable experience of business process modelling / mapping across current and future project states
  • Ability to document and deliver a complex business case to ensure project viability throughout the project lifecycle
  • Experience using both quantitative and qualitative user data to deliver appropriate project outcomes
  • Stakeholder engagement and management
  • Desirable - Agile Practitioner (must be current) and have IT Project Management Experience
