Job Description

This is a greenfield position and its an excellent opportunity for a Head of Data Engineering to really make a mark on the future growth of this organisation. The ideal candidate will be a big advocate of Agile, has an exceptional track record of developingroadmaps, is strategically minded, can develop a scalable data practice, can nurture data excellence and encourage new ways of working.To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Head of Data Engineering within a fast-paced environment.
  • A track record of maturing and maintaining a dynamic data engineering department.
  • Strategically minded and has a proven track record in planning and executing roadmaps.
  • Possesses a deep passion for research and analysis and can interpret and understand large amounts of data.
  • Experience implementing a sustainable and scalable Data Infrastructure.
  • Can nurture a culture of Data Engineering excellence.
  • Well versed in Data Warehousing, Data Modelling, AI, ML, Big Data and data tools.
  • A strong advocate in Agile and DevOps.
  • The role offers flexible remote working however you will need to be willing to travel between the London and/or the South Coast office one or two days a week.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills and can converse with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • The Head of Data Engineering must be a true Team-Builder. They need to be approachable and can develop meaningful relationships across Data and other business units.
