Together, we work as One Murphy by directly delivering the people, plant and expertise needed to make projects a success.Theres more to Murphy.Job description:Development ManagerJ.Murphy & Sons is looking to expand its investment portfolio in infrastructure assets with a focus on infrastructure investments, this will complement and add value to the technical delivery sectors of the business.As the Development Manager you will be a key point of contact for the client, consortium partners and internal colleagues along with senior management. This role will offer you fullautonomy with a varied scope of duties including project management, schedulingand delegating tasks to support the successful completion ofthe companys acquisition and delivery aims.What you will be doing

  • Analyse and create scope and milestones for project acquisition targets from client tender documentation.
  • Assist in the formation and coordination of internal and consortium teams to bid for relevant opportunities.
  • Work within tender teams to manage a bids input, outputs, and milestones to ensure bids are submitted within programme, budget and are compliant with the tender requirements.
  • Key point of contact for consortium partners, internal colleagues, and senior management on bid/project activities.
  • Manage the handling and assigning of daily tasks with internal teams and colleagues.
  • Oversee the administration of the clients information portals and the internal / consortium Team and SharePoint sites.
  • Hold regular meetings with relevant sector departments to ensure open communication and expectations throughout a bid/project.
  • Provide clear and timely communication concerning changes to bids i.e. programme, team/consortium, challenges etc that may impact the strategy on a bid/project.
  • Coordinating and reporting on key bid activities to sponsor/supervisory boards.
  • Communicate and coordinate with sector departments to actively source infrastructure investment opportunities.
  • Possess leadership skills and the ability to resolve challenges efficiently.
  • Be familiar with and operate within JMS process and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple company initiatives and encourage co-workers to do the same.
  • Be a role model, supporting and fostering a culture of good conduct
Who we are looking for
  • Degree in relative fieldi.e. business administration, quantity surveying, engineering
  • Good knowledge of management theory and practical applications in the workplace.
  • Understanding of business goals and standards for technical and financial service delivery.
  • Comfortable in communicating effectively with senior management and sector departments.
Desirable:- Experience in complex construction and/or operational infrastructure projects.- Experience in project finance of construction projects.- Experience in Design Build Finance Operate and Maintenance (DBFOM) projects.
